Ilorin, Nigeria — The Kwara State Government has strongly condemned the brutal murder of Hafsoh Lawal Adefalu, vowing to ensure justice is served.
Governor Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed deep sorrow over the tragic killing of the final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, allegedly perpetrated by a self-proclaimed cleric, Abdulrahman Bello.
During a condolence visit to the Adefalu family in Isale Koto, Ilorin, the governor denounced the horrific incident and reassured the public that law enforcement agencies would ensure that justice prevails.
“This act is utterly condemnable,” Governor AbdulRazaq stated. “We will not relent until justice is fully served. No one should suffer such a cruel fate.”
He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, praying for the repose of the victim’s soul and urging security agencies and the judiciary to expedite legal proceedings against the perpetrator.
Addressing the wider implications of the incident, the governor advised parents, guardians, and the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities in their communities.
Governor AbdulRazaq also called on religious leaders and scholars to intensify moral teachings, emphasizing the need to uphold ethical values and protect society from individuals who exploit faith for criminal acts.
