On Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, Dr. Nasir Idris, the Governor of Kebbi State, will lead a group of 25 cabinet commissioners on a four-day retreat in Abuja. The purpose of this retreat, as stated by Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed BK, the Commissioner of Information and Culture, is to familiarize the commissioners with their roles and responsibilities in advancing the progress and development of the state. Additionally, it aims to clarify their relationships with other branches of government, permanent secretaries, directors, and their respective ministries.

Furthermore, the retreat intends to provide State Executive Council members with updated knowledge about the functioning of democracy and the urgency of its growth in Kebbi State. This retreat, scheduled to conclude on September 16th, 2023, will serve to educate the commissioners on the fundamentals of governance, equipping them with the knowledge and adaptability required for effective governance.
