Kano State Governor Signs Three Bills into Law

Nigeria _ Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has given his assent to three bills passed by the Kano State House of Assembly, effectively signing them into law.

The newly enacted laws include the Kano State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Amendment) Law, 2025,  aimed at improving transportation in the state; the Kano State Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Law, 2025, focused on enhancing public health; and the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Law, 2025, designed to bolster community security.

Governor Yusuf signed the bills at the commencement of the 25th Kano State Executive Council meeting, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends and driving socioeconomic development in the state. He expressed gratitude for the people’s support and cooperation, urging them to sustain their efforts to achieve the administration’s goals.
