Jigawa Governor Umar Namadi Mourns Loss of Mother

The mother of Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

Governor Namadi confirmed the death through his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Hamisu Gumel, who shared the news in a statement.

Hajiya Maryam passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. Burial rites will be held later in the afternoon at 4:30 pm in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, in line with Islamic traditions.

In his statement, the governor’s spokesperson requested prayers for the repose of her soul, asking Allah (SWT) to grant her eternal rest in Jannah and provide comfort to the grieving family.
