Fulham claimed their first victory of the 2024-25 Premier League season with a 2-1 win over Leicester City at Craven Cottage on Saturday, thanks to goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi.
Smith Rowe, a summer acquisition from Arsenal, opened the scoring for Fulham in the 18th minute, marking his first goal for the club. Leicester equalized before halftime through Wout Faes, who headed home a well-placed cross.
However, Fulham regained the lead in the 70th minute when Iwobi latched onto a pass and calmly slotted the ball past Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, sealing the win for Marco Silva’s side.
Leicester, still searching for their first win of the season, now sit 14th in the table, while Fulham climb to 11th with four points from two matches.
Fulham started brightly, with Hermansen saving early efforts from Adama Traore and Iwobi. Their pressure paid off when Traore led a swift counterattack, setting up Smith Rowe to score with a composed finish.
