Businessman and influencer Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has disclosed that the lack of safety in the Southeast compelled him to transfer his business operations to Lagos State.
He shared this during a recent discussion with BBC Igbo. The influencer expressed sorrow over the fact that the anxiety about being abducted and murdered had caused customers to shy away from the East, where they had previously frequented. He shared: “There is a prevailing scarcity of resources in the South-East. It is our own local residents who furnish criminals with details.
Our community members started targeting affluent individuals, so the affluent individuals ceased to come back home during celebrations. That’s why I relocated to Lagos to handle my business.”
