The man who denied using the money his wife gave him to pay for her cesarean section to buy a phone and dog is being called out over a post he shared just days after his wife gave birth to their first child.
Facebook user Chu Dy and his wife welcomed their daughter on April 29 after a Good Samaritan on Facebook donated N500,000 for a cesarean section.
On Wednesday, May 15, Chu Dy’s wife went on Twitter to beg for more donations as she remained in the hospital due to complications following childbirth (read here).
She alleged that the money initially donated to her was partly used by her husband to buy a phone and a dog, instead of paying for the surgery. She said she had to give the remaining money to her husband’s sister to pay for the surgery when her husband was nowhere to be found with the money.
Meanwhile, the husband reacted yesterday, May 16, on Facebook.
He said his wife’s attitude towards him changed after she got the N500,000 from the donor on Facebook (read here).
He also denied that his wife gave him N240k to pay for the surgery. He said she gave him only N100k and he used it to pay for blood, tests, and drugs.
However, a post he shared on Facebook on May 4, as his wife was battling for her life in hospital, has now emerged.
In the post, he wrote: “If you want to know a woman, let much money come her way and little your way.
“Love can deminish as submissiveness won’t seem VALUE.”
He added in the comment on the post: “The same women clamouring for equality.”
Other posts shared on Facebook while his wife was in the hospital show him trolling women.
He also made posts about women who are not submissive.
His posts in the days after his daughter’s birth are being discussed by Nigerians on X.
