Spain has experienced a mournful moment as fire gutted a nightclub in the southeastern region of Murcia, killing 13 people.

The incident, which has not yet been fully explained, broke out early on Sunday.

Police and emergency services raided the scene, trying to manage the situation as they located the badly burned bodies.

Murcia City Council has declared three days of mourning with flags flown at half-mast in honor of the deceased.
