Rt Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has declared the seats of lawmakers appointed as ministers by President Bola Tinubu vacant.
During plenary on Tuesday, the Speaker read the resignation letters of Tunji Olubunmi-Ojo and Tanko Sununu as members of the House of Representatives.
Olubunmi-Ojo had been representing Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West in Ondo State, while Sununu was the representative for Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski Federal Constituency in Katsina State.
President Tinubu appointed Olubunmi-Ojo as the Minister of Interior and Tanko Sununu as the Minister of State for Education.
