Dubai, UAE — Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the season after sustaining a serious hamstring injury during the club’s mid-season training camp in Dubai.
The German international, who has scored 15 goals across all competitions, has been a key figure in Arsenal’s title challenge against Liverpool and their Champions League campaign.
However, reports from The Athletic indicate that Havertz has suffered a severe hamstring tear and may require surgery. Even without surgery, he is expected to focus on recovery and prepare for the 2025/26 season, which remains six months away.
The injury comes as a setback for Mikel Arteta’s side, especially after opting against signing a striker in the January transfer window, despite existing concerns over squad depth.
Arsenal are already without Bukayo Saka, who has been sidelined since December with a hamstring issue, with a return expected in March. Gabriel Martinelli also sustained a hamstring injury in the Newcastle defeat, while Gabriel Jesus has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.
Havertz’s absence further complicates Arsenal’s pursuit of Premier League and European glory, leaving Arteta with limited attacking options.
