November 19th marks International Men’s Day (IMD), a global event aimed at recognizing and appreciating the contributions, achievements, and struggles of men. This day serves as a platform to promote positive male role models, challenge stereotypes, and address pressing issues affecting men’s well-being.
The History of International Men’s Day
International Men’s Day was first observed in 1999 in Trinidad and Tobago, initiated by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh. The event gained momentum, and today it is celebrated in over 80 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
