Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has strongly condemned the attack on members of the task force enforcing Executive Order 003 at Bukuru market in Jos South Local Government Area by criminal elements on Monday.
In an official statement, Governor Mutfwang criticized the actions of those who defied Executive Order 003 and resorted to violence against law-abiding citizens. He urged security agencies to promptly apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they are brought to justice without delay.
The Governor reiterated the state government’s firm commitment to decisively addressing troublemakers and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to working with law-abiding citizens to promote peace and unity across the state.
Governor Mutfwang also called on religious and community leaders in the affected area to guide their followers against unlawful conduct and to implement measures that prevent criminal elements from exploiting the situation to cause disorder.
The Task Force is charged with regulating buildings and vehicular traffic within the Greater Jos master plan.
