Governor Makinde Approves Oba Olakuleyin as 43rd Olubadan

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the appointment of Oba Owolabi Olakuleyin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.

In a statement from the governor’s spokesman, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, it was noted that the approval followed the established legal processes for ascension to royal thrones in the state.

The statement congratulated the new Olubadan, expressing hopes that his reign would usher in significant development for Ibadanland and Oyo State.

The Olubadan throne became vacant following the death of Oba Lekan Balogun, who passed away at the age of 81 on March 14, 2024, after a two-year reign.
