Gov. Idris Urges Protesters to Embrace Dialogue, Halt Demonstrations

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has called on protesters participating in the ongoing nationwide demonstration against hunger to suspend their activities in the interest of the state.

In a broadcast to the state’s residents on the first day of the protest, Governor Idris emphasized Kebbi’s reputation as a peaceful and law-abiding state. He urged citizens to uphold this tradition of peace.

Governor Idris assured the public that his administration is actively working to alleviate the current hardships faced by the people of Kebbi.

“As a responsible government, we will not stand by and allow any individuals to disrupt the peace of our state. I am appealing to the protesters to halt their demonstrations,” he stated.

He also urged protesters to refrain from vandalizing government property or looting shops, emphasizing the importance of maintaining order and protecting community assets.
