Hong, Adamawa State — Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has officially conferred the Staff of Office upon Alheri Bulus Nyako, marking a historic moment as the first Tol Huba of Hong Chiefdom.
The ceremony, held in Hong town, was a momentous occasion for the Huba people, signifying the fulfillment of their long-standing aspirations. Addressing attendees, Governor Fintiri highlighted that the establishment of chiefdoms and emirates in Adamawa State is aimed at rectifying historical injustices, fostering development, and strengthening unity among communities.
He urged the newly inaugurated Tol Huba to embrace inclusive leadership and spearhead initiatives that will drive progress across the fourteen districts under his authority.
In his acceptance speech, Tol Huba Alheri Bulus Nyako reflected on the century-long struggle that culminated in this achievement. He pledged to lead with fairness, justice, transparency, and accountability, ensuring peace, security, and unity in alignment with the vision of the current administration.
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, represented by Wali Adamawa, Alhaji Abdulkadir Aminu Mbamba. The paramount ruler expressed confidence in Tol Huba’s leadership and ability to meet the expectations of his people.
The ceremony marked a new chapter in the history of Hong Chiefdom, reinforcing the commitment to cultural preservation and community progress.
