Gombe, Nigeria — Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has extended his congratulations to Barrister Alhassan Mu’azu on his election as Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gombe Branch.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s media office, he also commended other newly elected executives, describing the NBA’s smooth and rancour-free electoral process as a symbol of democratic maturity and professionalism within the legal community.
“The emergence of Barrister Mu’azu and his team through a transparent and peaceful process is highly commendable,” the Governor said. “It reflects the NBA’s dedication to democratic values and institutional integrity.”
Governor Yahaya praised Barrister Mu’azu’s long-standing contributions to Gombe’s legal system, citing his service in various legal and advisory roles within the state’s Ministry of Justice and public institutions.
“His experience and unwavering commitment to legal development make him well suited for this leadership role. I am confident he will steer the NBA in Gombe toward greater impact,” the Governor added.
Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to justice sector reforms and the rule of law, Governor Yahaya pledged ongoing support and collaboration with the NBA to improve access to justice, uphold human rights, and ensure a robust legal system.
“Our government will continue working closely with the Bar to promote justice, good governance, and protect citizens’ rights,” he stated.
He concluded by urging the newly elected NBA leadership to foster unity, professionalism, and ethical conduct that sustain the honour of the legal profession.
