In a press release, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, extends hearty congratulations to Mr. Dennis Idahosa, the triumphant candidate in the Edo State governorship primary election. Dr. Ganduje, through his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, emphasizes the need for unity among all aspirants, highlighting its crucial role in securing victory for the party in the impending state governorship election.

Commending Governor Uzodinma’s Election Committee for the transparency exhibited during the electoral process, the National Chairman underscores the significance of a fair and just election in fostering party credibility.

Dr. Ganduje encourages aspirants to set aside any lingering differences now that the primary contest has concluded, urging a collective effort to support the declared winner, Mr. Idahosa.

Declared victorious by Senator Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Edo Governorship Primary Election Committee, Mr. Idahosa, the incumbent representative of Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, secured forty thousand, four hundred and fifty-three votes, triumphing over fellow contestants.

Meanwhile, the Edo State APC Coalition Returning Officer, Dr. Stanley Egbujor, denounces the announcement of Mr. Idahosa, deeming it an illegality that will be legally contested. Dr. Egbujor delivers this assertion during a press briefing on the outcomes of the factional Edo APC Governorship primary election held within the state.
