Istanbul, Turkey — Reigning Turkish Super Lig champions, Galatasaray, have issued a firm call for clarity from Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen amid growing impatience over his transfer indecision.
According to reports from TMW, the Istanbul-based club is prepared to trigger the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s contract. However, the lack of feedback from the prolific striker has left Galatasaray’s hierarchy increasingly frustrated.
Osimhen, who had a remarkable spell at RAMS Park on loan last season, delivered a stellar performance with 37 goals and eight assists in 41 matches. His impact was instrumental in securing both the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup for the club.
Despite Galatasaray’s clear intent and a lucrative offer said to exceed those from several European suitors, the 26-year-old has yet to respond.
Club Vice President Abdullah Kavukcu expressed disappointment over the silence, stating, “He’s keeping us waiting, and time is against us. What we’ve offered goes beyond what other clubs in Europe have put on the table.”
Meanwhile, competition for Osimhen’s signature remains intense, with Serie A side Juventus and Saudi giants Al-Hilal also reportedly monitoring the situation closely.
The coming days may prove pivotal, as Galatasaray seeks a resolution to one of the summer’s most watched transfer sagas.
