Fulham has agreed to acquire midfielder Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal for an initial fee of £27 million, with potential add-ons totaling £7 million.
The additional payments are contingent on Fulham’s performance in Cup competitions and European tournaments.
Smith Rowe missed Arsenal’s last two pre-season matches as the transfer was being finalized.
A product of Arsenal’s academy and a fan favorite, Smith Rowe has fallen down the pecking order behind Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka.
The midfielder, who has three caps for England, last represented his country in 2022.
In other transfer developments, Arsenal has signed Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for a fee that could rise to £42 million.
