The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has directed the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to deploy personnel and logistics to ensure smooth traffic flow and road safety during the festive season
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, General Services, Mr. Maurice Mberi, Akume emphasized the need for strengthened collaboration among agencies to curb traffic violations and combat “One Chance” crimes.
He commended FRSC’s use of digital tools for traffic monitoring and enforcement, highlighting its impact on improving highway safety and efficiency.
Akume reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting FRSC’s efforts under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Corps Marshal Mallam Shehu Mohammed said the Fourth Quarter strategic meeting aims to prepare for end-of-year operations, emphasizing obstruction removal and effective traffic management.
Sector commanders assured the public of proactive measures, including local sensitization campaigns, to reduce accidents and ensure prompt emergency responses during the Ember Months.
