Osun state, Nigeria: A tragic accident on Ife-Ilesa Road in Osun State claimed five lives, including a baby girl, after a trailer crushed a Toyota Hilux vehicle
The Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the incident, attributing the cause to over-speeding and traffic violation.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, while the corpses were deposited at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital mortuary. The trailer driver was arrested and handed over to the police.
The FRSC has warned road users against traffic offenses, emphasizing caution to prevent further accidents.
