Tragic Fire in Mangaf Claims 35 Lives, Injures 15

A devastating fire at a residential building in Mangaf, Kuwait, has resulted in the deaths of at least 35 individuals, with 15 others sustaining injuries and being transported to the hospital.

The blaze was reported at 6:00 AM local time on Wednesday.

An interior ministry spokesperson confirmed that the fire has been brought under control and that rescue operations are ongoing.

Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf al-Sabah, who visited the scene, criticized real estate owners for violating established regulations.

Local media reports indicate that the building might have been overcrowded when the fire broke out. Although dozens were rescued, many victims succumbed to smoke inhalation.

Authorities have not yet provided details about the identities or employment status of the affected individuals.
