The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to reforming the almajiri education system, aiming to provide quality education for millions of Nigerian children.
During a visit to the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children’s Education in Abuja, the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by almajiri and out-of-school children across the country.
Professor Mamman praised the leadership of the Commission’s Executive Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Idris, for his efforts in advocating for solutions to the out-of-school crisis. He also emphasized the importance of engaging key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach in tackling the issue.
Dr. Idris expressed gratitude for the Minister’s support, noting that his guidance had been instrumental in the Commission’s progress. “The Minister has always been a source of support and encouragement,” Dr. Idris remarked.
