The Federal Government has issued a travel advisory to Nigerians planning to visit the United Kingdom, citing an increased risk of violence and disorder following recent riots.
The unrest was triggered by the tragic deaths of three young girls at a concert.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the violence has escalated, with attacks on law enforcement and significant infrastructure damage.
The Ministry advises citizens to exercise extreme caution and avoid political processions, protests, rallies, or marches.
Nigerians currently in the UK are urged to contact the High Commission with any relevant information. The High Commission can be reached via email at hc@nigeriahc.org.uk or by telephone at +44 20 7839 1244.
