Abuja, Nigeria —This commendation was conveyed in a letter by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, to the university’s Founder and Chancellor, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, recognizing his lifelong commitment to educational excellence and national development.
According to a statement released in Abuja by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade, the Minister praised ABUAD’s academic and non-academic staff for their relentless pursuit of excellence.
“Your achievement is not just a personal success but a national milestone,” Dr. Alausa wrote. “It is remarkable to witness your vision, once shared with the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Tanko Mohammed, materialize on a global scale within your lifetime.”
The Minister noted that the university’s recognition reflects the strength of vision, dedication, and professionalism that defines ABUAD’s operational culture. He stated, “This global ranking is a testament to what Nigerian institutions can accomplish when driven by passion, purpose, and quality standards.”
While celebrating ABUAD’s success, the Ministry also highlighted the broader implication for Nigeria’s educational sector, describing the achievement as a “catalyst for greater commitment to functional, innovative, and globally competitive education.”
Reaffirming the Federal Government’s support, Dr. Alausa emphasized the Ministry’s readiness to partner with ABUAD and other progressive institutions to foster educational innovation, research excellence, and sustainable national development.
