FG Extends Civil Service Recruitment Deadline to March 17

NIGERIAThe Federal Government has extended the application deadline for the ongoing Federal Civil Service recruitment to March 17, 2025.

Initially announced on January 27, 2025, the recruitment exercise offers over 70 positions across various ministries, departments, and agencies. However, many applicants reported difficulties accessing the recruitment portal, leading to widespread calls for an extension.

A spokesperson for the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Hassan Taiwo, acknowledged the technical challenges faced by some applicants but assured that many were able to register successfully.

In an official statement published in national dailies and on the FCSC website, the commission confirmed that the new deadline replaces the earlier one set for March 10, 2025.

“The Federal Civil Service Commission has extended the closing date for receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service to Monday, March 17, 2025, to allow more eligible candidates to participate in the exercise,” the statement read.

Applicants are encouraged to take advantage of the extension, as the FCSC has assured a transparent and merit-driven recruitment process.
