The Federal Government has announced the complete installation of E-gates at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, achieving 100% completion.
According to information from @PBATMediaCentre, the new E-gates are expected to minimize human interaction between immigration authorities and arriving Nigerian nationals, promoting greater transparency and efficiency in the immigration process.
The E-gates at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport aim to revolutionize the entry process for Nigerian passport holders by significantly reducing the time required for clearance. The eight E-gates will allow passengers to stamp their passports and clear immigration in under 30 seconds, enhancing overall efficiency at the airport.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission this new initiative soon.
Similar installations are currently underway at other international airports across the country.
