Abuja, Nigeria — The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved ₦242.68 billion for the construction, rehabilitation, and rescoping of 14 critical road projects nationwide.
The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, disclosed this while briefing State House correspondents, listing key roads targeted for development.
Among them are Agaie-Katcha-Baro Road in Niger State, Odukpani Junction in Cross River, Abeokuta-Ajibo Road in Ogun, and the Abaji section of Ibaji-Odulu-Ajibu Road in Anambra.
Other approved projects include Umuahia-Ituano-Ikot Ekpene Road, Kaduna-Jos Road (Phase One), Yola-Fufure Road in Adamawa, and Ijebu-Ibutita Ebe Road in Ogun. Also listed are Lamido Road in Taraba, Nkomoro-Isu Road in Enugu and Ebonyi, Aba-Owerri Road dualization, Gashua-Bayamari Road (Section Two) in Yobe, and Ikorodu-Shagamu Road (Phase One of Lagos-Ibadan Road).
Umahi emphasized that contractors failing to meet project standards will face contract termination.
