During the presentation of appointment letters to the newly appointed traditional rulers by the Mandate Secretary of the FCT Area Council Services Secretariat, Mr. Bitrus Lawrence Garki, it was emphasized that these appointments followed the demise of their predecessors in their respective chiefdoms.

In his address, Mr. Garki, representing the FCT Minister, extended congratulations to the newly appointed royal fathers, highlighting the significance of the occasion within the context of the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of the current administration, aimed at delivering democracy dividends to the populace.

The selection process leading to the appointment of the trio involved meticulous scrutiny, selection, and voting procedures, as well as adherence to traditional rites conducted by the kingmakers in accordance with the customs and traditions of their people.

Assuring the newly appointed Chiefs of the FCT Administration’s collaboration, Mr. Garki pledged concerted efforts to enhance the welfare of their subjects and urged them to align with government policies and programs to stimulate grassroots growth and development.
