Ex-Rep Bago calls for collective action on ‘New Niger’ Policy

Niger State Governor, Muhammed Umar Bago, has urged key stakeholders in the state to support his ambitious vision for a “New Niger” to drive growth and development. He made this call during a grand reception held in honor of ministers from the state’s House of Assembly at the Justiće Idris Legbo Kutigi International Conference Center in Minna.

The governor emphasized the need for unity and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure progress and development in the state. He announced that such events would be observed quarterly to facilitate meaningful discussions on state issues and their solutions. He also instructed the 25 local government areas in the state to replicate this initiative in their councils.

Governor Bago encouraged the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, to use his influence to expedite the state and country’s growth and development. He also called on the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, to consider the state for federal government agricultural initiatives, given its size and untapped natural resources.

The ministers, in their messages, praised Governor Bago’s vision for a “New Niger” and emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation for its realization. Senator Peter Jiya Ndalikali and the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Muhammad Sarkin Daji, pledged to work collectively for the state’s growth and development.
