The speculation began after a viral post on X claimed El-Rufai had switched allegiance, but he swiftly refuted the claims on his official X account, describing them as “patent lies” and warning of potential legal action against those spreading the rumors .As a key figure in the APC’s formation and a close associate of President Bola Tinubu, El-Rufai’s loyalty has been closely watched, and his denial is likely to alleviate concerns among party loyalists.
