Edo State police save abducted farmer

The Edo State Police Command has successfully rescued two abducted victims in a recent operation conducted by the operatives of the Irrua Divisional Headquarters.

Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye confirmed the rescue of Osemuanhu Iluobe and Emmanuel Ehizuenlen Oziegbe in Ugbegun and Usugbenu forests within the Esan Central Local Government Area.

Osemuanhu Iluobe, a farmer, was abducted along with another individual named Emuanta from their farm in Ugbegun Forest. While Iluobe was successfully rescued, Emuanta remains in captivity as efforts are underway to secure his release and apprehend the culprits.

The police commissioner commended the swift response of the Irrua Division operatives who conducted extensive bush combing operations to locate and rescue the victims.

Additionally, Emuanta Ehizuenlen Oziegbe was also rescued by police operatives, vigilante group, and hunters during further search operations. The victim was found unharmed, and the tools used to restrain him were recovered.

Commissioner Adegboye assured the public that the police are actively pursuing the fleeing suspects to bring them to justice.
