The Edo State Police Command has apprehended eight former prisoners suspected of involvement in kidnappings in Uromi, located in the Esan North East Local Government Area.

According to reports, Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye disclosed this information to the press in Benin City. Among the suspects detained in various locations within Uromi, including Idumukhala’s quarters, Awo Uromi, Ugboha bush, and Egbele, was a married couple.

The arrests were made by officers of the Uromi Divisional Headquarters following actionable intelligence provided by Daniel Ibhahebhomen, a Sector 1 Commander of the Edo State Security Network (ESSN) in Uromi.
