Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has condemned the brutal killing of Jacob Udo and his wife, Comfort, in Isiala Autonomous Community, Bende LGA, Abia State. The couple was beheaded by unknown attackers, sparking outrage.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu expressed deep shock, calling the act barbaric and unjustifiable. He extended his condolences to the victims’ families and urged law enforcement to swiftly investigate and bring the culprits to justice.
Kalu also called for calm within the community, cautioning against retaliatory violence and emphasizing the need for peaceful resolution. He assured residents that authorities would act to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable. He urged community leaders and residents to work together to maintain safety and prevent further unrest.
