Delta police apprehend three suspected armed robbers, kidnappers in Delta

The Delta State Command’s operatives have apprehended three individuals suspected of being involved in armed robbery and kidnapping.

Among the suspects are Tega Dierunaba, aged 44, Chibiuke Anuforo Cosmas, aged 42, and Sunday Moses Pam, aged 36, who is believed to be involved in distributing arms.

Intelligence-led investigations led to their capture in various locations on 16/7/2024 between 1300hrs and 1935hrs, as reported.

Confirmation of the arrests was made by Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, in a statement on Wednesday.

Specifically, Sunday Moses Pam, hailing from Vom community in Jos South LGA Plateau State and residing at Oka Closed Street in Enerhen, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, is accused of transporting arms from Plateau State to Delta State.

The suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crimes, as previously admitted by Goodluck Sakutu from Ekpan community in Uvwie LGA, Delta State, who was apprehended earlier, resulting in the recovery of a manufactured AK-47 rifle.

The suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.
