Defense Chief and National Intelligence Agency Forge Stronger Alliance Against Insecurity

In a bid to confront the escalating threats to national security, General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has initiated a robust partnership with the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

During his visit to the NIA Headquarters in Abuja, General Musa emphasized the imperative of a cohesive and formidable alliance to combat the pervasive insecurity plaguing the nation. General Musa stressed the urgency of addressing security challenges with unwavering determination, highlighting the pivotal role of equity, good governance, and allied elements in upholding national security.

Expressing commendation for the exemplary leadership of Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director-General of NIA, General Musa assured the nation’s Armed Forces’ unwavering readiness to collaborate with pertinent agencies in the fight against criminal elements.

In response, Ambassador Abubakar reiterated the paramountcy of teamwork and cooperation in advancing the nation’s interests. Emphasizing the agency’s mandate to safeguard national interests, he acknowledged the daunting challenges confronting security agencies while urging steadfastness in their commitment to duty.
