Dangote Group donates 20,000 bags of Rice to Plateau state

Plateau state, Nigeria:The Dangote Group has donated 20,000 bags of 10kg rice to Plateau State as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting the less privileged and vulnerable members of society. The official handover ceremony took place at the Old Government House in Rayfield, Jos.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who received the donation, commended the Dangote Group for its philanthropic gesture and encouraged other well-meaning individuals and organizations to follow suit. He emphasized the state government’s ongoing commitment to alleviating hardship through various intervention programmes, including the provision of highly subsidized fertilizers to farmers.

Governor Mutfwang also assured that the rice would be distributed transparently to ensure it reaches those in need across all 17 local government areas of the state.

Speaking earlier, the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sunday Abdu, expressed optimism that the donation would bring relief to many households facing economic challenges.

Presenting the items on behalf of the company, the Dangote Group’s Area Manager, Bashir Adamu, noted that the donation reflects the Group’s dedication to community welfare and urged that the rice be used efficiently for its intended purpose.
