The convicts were charged by the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on various counts, including impersonation, obtaining by false pretense, possession of fraudulent documents, and retention of proceeds from crime.
According to a statement by the EFCC on their official X (formerly Twitter) account, the fraudsters all pleaded guilty to the charges.
