Ogbomoso, Nigeria — A container-laden truck lost control and overturned at Takie Roundabout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, killing three people in a tricycle on Tuesday morning.
The tragic accident, which occurred around 9:30 a.m., claimed the lives of two female passengers and the tricycle operator, leaving the community in shock.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck lost control while negotiating a bend, causing the container to fall and crush the tricycle, popularly known as ‘Keke NAPEP.’
Rescue efforts proved futile as all three victims were found dead at the scene.
Authorities are working to clear the container and restore traffic flow, while motorists are urged to exercise caution in the area.
