Community Shield: Crystal Palace coach Glasner makes demand after beating Liverpool

‎Crystal Palace head coach, Oliver Glasner, has called on the club’s hierarchy to sign two more players to add to his squad this summer.

‎Glasner made the made the request after leading his team to beat Liverpool in the Community Shield on Sunday.

‎He, however, insisted that he is happy with his current squad but wants to add new players before the summer transfer window closes in the coming weeks.

‎Recall that Crystal Palace defeated Liverpool on penalty shoot-out following a 2-2 draw.

‎“I am very happy with the squad because of course they won the trophy,” Glasner told TNT Sport.

‎“But I don’t want to complain about plenty of games, because you see that as a reward.

“If we don’t win the FA Cup, then we don’t talk about European football. But we want to win something, we want to play European football. We’ll be ready for it.

‎“But of course, if somebody needs a break – such as Daichi Kamada [who was injured] today and maybe we’ll miss him at Chelsea – and we just maybe need to add one or two players.”
