Chelsea has acquired midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City for £30 million.
The 25-year-old, a product of the Leicester City academy, has signed a six-year contract with Chelsea, extending his stay at the club until 2030.
The deal was concluded before Sunday’s Premier League profit and sustainability rules (PSR) deadline, assisting Leicester in complying with financial regulations.
“It’s incredible to be here as a Chelsea player,” said Dewsbury-Hall. “This is a club that many dream of playing for, and it’s an honor to be part of it.”
Dewsbury-Hall will reunite with manager Enzo Maresca, who joined Chelsea this summer after leading Leicester to the Championship title last season.
Last season, Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 44 league games, earning him Leicester’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season awards.
He becomes Chelsea’s fourth summer signing, following defender Tosin Adarabioyo’s free transfer from Fulham, midfielder Omari Kellyman’s £19 million move from Aston Villa, and teenage forward Marc Guiu’s £5 million transfer from Barcelona.
