Chelsea has confirmed that they will not be pursuing a summer transfer for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson. While Chelsea’s staff reportedly admires Johnson, they have no intentions of engaging in negotiations for the 22-year-old Welsh attacker during this summer’s transfer window.
Instead, Chelsea will be focusing on exploring other options in their pursuit of forwards. The club is said to have a list of potential candidates they are considering.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, is determined to retain Johnson and previously rejected an offer from Premier League side Brentford earlier in the transfer window. However, it’s indicated that Forest might be open to selling the young forward if they receive an enticing offer that meets their expectations.
