CHAN 2024: Sudan can upset Nigeria – Striker, Abdullah

Sudan striker, Farres Abdullah is full of confidence ahead of his side’s crucial Group D clash against Nigeria at the 2024 African Nations Championship, a news source reports.

Kwesi Appiah’s side started their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Congo last week Tuesday.

The Home Eagles are the overwhelming favourites to win the game going by the quality of players in their team, and pedigree as well.

‎Abdullah is, however, optimistic they can upset Eric Chelle’s men.

“Nigeria is one of the strongest sides in the tournament, but we believe we can go deep in this competition,” he was quoted by CAFonline.

Sudan occupy second position in the group with one point alongside Congo.

The Home Eagles are bottom with zero points following their 1-0 loss to Senegal.
