Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, was missing from Bayer Leverkusen training on Monday.
This comes after he was involved in a ghastly car crash on Saturday.
Boniface was in action for the Bundesliga champions last Saturday, scoring the winner as they defeated Frankfurt in a league fixture.
After the game, Boniface was involved in an accident, as he drove to the airport to pick up his friends.
However, Leverkusen has said he only sustained two minor injuries on his left hand.
It remains to be seen if Boniface will be involved when Xabi Alonso’s men take on Brest in their Champions League clash.
News reports that the striker may get a short break to fully recover from the accident, meaning that he may not play until next weekend.
