England and Germany— Brighton & Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, and Leeds United are among several Premier League clubs interested in signing Nigerian international winger Nathan Tella from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
According to reports, scouts from these clubs, along with Brentford and Burnley, were present at a pre-season friendly between Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge to assess the 26-year-old attacker’s performance.
Tella, who previously played in England with Southampton (44 senior appearances over three years) and had a successful loan spell with Burnley during their 2022/23 Championship-winning campaign, is reportedly open to returning to the Premier League.
Although he joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 and was part of their Bundesliga-winning squad in his first season, Tella has struggled to consistently secure a starting spot, especially under former coach Xabi Alonso, but his form has slightly improved under the new coach Erik Ten Hag.
With a current market value around €15 million, Bayer Leverkusen is expected to demand a significant fee for the winger if he moves. The Premier League clubs interested will need to act swiftly as the season approaches.
