President Bola Tinubu has appointed Assistant Corps Marshal Mohammed Shehu as the new Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
Shehu succeeds Dauda Ali Biu, who has been serving as Acting Corps Marshal since the retirement of Boboye Oyeyemi in 2023.
A statement from Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, announced that the appointment is for an initial term of four years, starting from May 20, 2024, in line with the FRSC Establishment Act.
“President Tinubu urges the new appointee to leverage his extensive experience in fulfilling his new responsibilities,” the statement read.
