Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham has been handed with a two-match suspension in LaLiga following a red card incident during the clash against Valencia.
The disciplinary action was imposed after the 20-year-old midfielder vehemently confronted referee Jesus Gil Manzano, who controversially signaled the end of the match just moments before Bellingham’s potential game-winning header.
The Spanish Football Federation’s competitions committee, RFEF, confirmed on Wednesday that Bellingham’s ban is attributed to “attitudes of contempt or disregard towards referees, directors, or sports authorities.” In addition to the suspension, the talented player faces a 600 euros (£513) fine, while Real Madrid is fined 700 euros.
