Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani, officially declares the liberation of over 200 Kuriga school children, held captive by suspected bandits.

In a late-night announcement on Saturday, the Governor affirms the safe return of the abducted school children.

“In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Most Merciful, I am pleased to inform that our Kuriga school children have been freed.

“We extend heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his unwavering commitment to the safety and security of Nigerians, particularly ensuring the unharmed release of the abducted Kuriga school children.

“Throughout the ordeal, I engaged in numerous discussions with Mr. President. His empathy, support, and relentless efforts contributed significantly to facilitating the safe return of the children.

“A special acknowledgment is due to our esteemed colleague, the National Security Adviser, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu, for his outstanding leadership. Together, we dedicated countless hours refining strategies and orchestrating the security agencies’ operations, culminating in this successful outcome.

“The Nigerian Army merits commendation for demonstrating that through bravery, resolve, and dedication, criminal elements can be neutralized, and community security reinstated.

“We extend gratitude to all Nigerians who fervently prayed for the school children’s safe return. Today is indeed a day of celebration. We attribute all glory to Almighty Allah.”
