In a tragic turn of events, Hon. Mohammed Idris, a prominent figure in Kogi State’s political landscape and a former member of the House of Representatives, has passed away.
Hailing from a distinguished lineage as the son of the former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris, Mohammed served diligently as the representative for Ankpa, Olamaboro, and Omala Federal Constituency within the hallowed halls of the National Assembly.
Reports reaching DAILY POST indicate that Mohammed Idris collapsed and succumbed shortly after participating in Eid prayers at his residence in the nation’s capital, Abuja, this Wednesday.
Plans are underway to lay him to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions at the Gudu cemetery, also in Abuja.
