Bournemouth, England — Premier League side Bournemouth have expressed interest in signing Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Cherries currently have Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea, but his long-term future at the club remains uncertain. As a result, Bournemouth are exploring potential alternatives, with Okoye emerging as a key target, according to Sportitalia.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international previously played for English Championship side Watford before securing a move to Serie A outfit Udinese in 2023. Since joining the Italian club, Okoye has cemented his place as their first-choice goalkeeper and played a pivotal role in helping Udinese avoid relegation last season.
The former Sparta Rotterdam shot-stopper was also linked with a move to Inter Milan last summer but remained in Udinese, where he has continued to impress with his performances.
With Bournemouth monitoring his progress, Okoye could be set for a return to English football if a deal materializes in the upcoming transfer window.
